After completing my degree in Japanese Studies I started work as an interpreter in various technical, financial and public relations environments before moving to Japan for several years where I worked as an English tutor. After my return to the UK I worked as an interpreter in doctors surgeries and hospitals, before taking my MA in Applied Translation Studies at Leeds University. Since then I have been working as a freelance Japanese to English translator.
