When we make a verb the topic of the conversation, we don’t have to use an adjective describe it, we can also use a noun to say what it is.
わたしが生まれたのはシェっフィールドです。
I was born in Sheffield.
This also works for adjectives:
私が好きなのはみそラーメンです。
The one I like the most is miso ramen.
